Two actors, two chairs – one empty stage
Who can translate a word they speak?
Working so hard for a meagre wage
High voltage brilliance, whatever their age
All in Spanish, but it could’ve been Greek!
Two actors, two chairs - one empty stage
Lascivious slapstick, laughter and rage
We just need to SEE the words they speak!
Working so hard for a meagre wage
Young women, with magic – also quite sage
One pretty brash, one pretty meek
Two actors, two chairs - one empty stage
Their scandalous miming risks bourgeois outrage
It’s the lewd crude opposite of female mystique
Working so hard for a meagre wage
They threw open the doors of life’s darkest cage
The theatrical experience, it was simply unique
Two actors, two chairs - one empty stage
Working so hard for a meagre wage
